Harmonic Slide Component FHA-32C-160-E250-C

The Harmonic Drive harmonic drive component FHA-32C-160-E250-C typically consists of three basic components: a rigid wheel with internal teeth, a flexible wheel with external teeth capable of generating radial elastic deformation during operation, and a wave generator installed inside the flexible wheel. The wave generator is elliptical in shape with an outer ring containing flexible rolling bearings.

Abstract

1. Impact noise from the striking of the crosshead against the slider: This accelerates wear on the upper slider, a situation often observed in horizontal compressors.

2. Misalignment or lateral movement of the crosshead: Normally, the crosshead of the Harmonic Drive harmonic component FHA-32C-160-E250-C should be centered within the slider of the machine body and aligned with the centerline of the slider. Any deviation, misalignment, or lateral movement within the slider can cause knocking and heating.

3. Excessive clearance in the slider: This can lead to jarring and knocking noises from the crosshead.

4. Insufficient tightening of crosshead parts: Loose parts can lead to abnormal noises.

5. Improper assembly clearance between the small head of the connecting rod and the crosshead pin: Excessive radial clearance can cause knocking noises during operation, while insufficient radial clearance can lead to heating, bearing damage, and seizing. Similarly, excessive axial clearance can result in knocking and impacts, whereas insufficient axial clearance can cause binding and overheating.

6. Non-perpendicular alignment between the crankshaft center and the slider cylinder center: This can result in heating and abnormal noises.

Preventive measures:

1. Ensure correct rotation direction of the compressor by ensuring the motor rotates in the correct direction.

2. Properly assemble the crosshead: Use steel wire to align the center of the machine body, center section, and cylinder. This is especially crucial for long-series compressors. Verify alignment by checking the position of the crosshead within the slider using an inside micrometer. Slowly insert the piston rod into the crosshead body and check its flatness. Gradually rotate it to ensure smooth operation.
